Ruthild Sondermann

Irvinne Redor It has been almost 5 years when I met Ruthild in Utrecht, Netherlands when I attended the Young Events Management Program of the Europa Cantat Festival. From what I remember, she'll always be there to assist us whenever we need something and she'll always be wearing her wonderful smile. Last time I got to communicate with her was when she was assisting me with my grant in June 2012 for Polyfollia's CAMP. Sad to hear the news from Sonja and Isabelle that she already passed away yesterday. Thanks so much for everything you've done for us, Ruthild! No more pain.

Tamara Adamov Petijevic What a wonderful person she was! I am so glad that I knew her in person. She had that special 'Europa Cantat way of communicating', with so much persuasive love for everything and everyone in the choral world. She knew how to express her praises for someone's good work, but also to warn young people if they were doing something wrong. O, that is what we are all trying to achieve in our work, that combination of kindness and strictness! Eternal memory to dear Ruthild...

My first reaction was a smile of contentment about the picture, thinking Ruthild was finally going better … ( I often was wondering how she was going, if ... , if … ) I can imagine it is a very big loss for you !
